IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa senior wide receiver Keenan Davis is going on an 11-city road trip, compliments of the Big Ten Network.

Technically, an image of Davis is making the trip, not the Hawkeye who caught 50 passes a year ago.

An image of the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Davis is part of a wrap covering the BTN bus that is making its annual tour to all 12 Big Ten Conference football preseason camps. Davis and his teammates noticed the bus when they left practice Tuesday.

“We got our snack at night and the bus was parked on a street we were turning on,” Davis said. “Everyone looked and asked, `Is that Keenan on the bus?’ We all started to laugh about it.”

The University of Iowa was the first stop on the BTN tour, and following practice, Davis was asked to provide the first autograph on the side of the bus, just below his action photo.

“I think it’s up there,” said Davis, when asked if signing a bus was his oddest autograph request. “By far.”

Dimensions of the bus are 45-feet long, 102-inches wide, and 12.2 feet high. The image of Davis is on the driver’s side along with images of Illinois quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase, Indiana running back Stephen Houston, Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson, Michigan State defensive end William Gholston, and Minnesota wide receiver Brandon Green. Below the players are the words “40+ Football games…BTN.com.”

“It’s an honor, it feels good,” Davis said. “It’s a good picture, I guess. Hopefully they got my good side.”

The BTN chronicled the first Hawkeye practice of the day Wednesday; its Big Ten Football Preview Tour show will air Thursday, Aug. 9, at 9 p.m. (CT).
