Men's Hoops in National Spotlight

Sept. 25, 2012

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Iowa men’s basketball team has been in the national spotlight the last couple of days. A pair of stories written by ESPN senior college basketball writer Andy Katz and CBS Sports Network’s college basketball insider Jon Rothstein takes a look at the potential for the 2012-13 Hawkeyes.

Katz pegs the Hawkeyes as a “sleeper in the Big Ten, one that could be on the bubble — if not more — next March.” Read more of what Katz has to say HERE.

Rothstein profiles the Hawkeyes’ depth and says head coach Fran McCaffery “has the most talented roster he’s ever assembled as a head coach.” Read more of what Katz has to say HERE.

Hawkeye fans will get a chance to see the 2012-13 Hawkeyes for the first time at the Black & Gold Blowout presented by Herky’s Locker Room on Friday, Oct. 19. The event starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are only $5 for adults and free for UI students and youth at the UI Ticket Office.
