IOWA CITY, Iowa — First it is Fran, then Tom.
University of Iowa head men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery will hold a news conference Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. (CT) in the Media Room inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena. That will be followed by typically one of the most entertaining news conferences of the year when UI head wrestling coach Tom Brands gathers with reporters at 2:30 in the Feller Club Room inside the Dale and Marilyn Howard Family Pavilion at Carver-Hawkeye Arena (fourth floor).
Both news conferences will be available live from start to finish on Hawkeye All-Access, the multimedia portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official worldwide website of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
McCaffery’s Hawkeyes host UT-Pan American on Friday, Nov. 9, beginning at 8 p.m. (CT) in the first regular-season game of the season. Iowa defeated Quincy University, 100-54, on Nov. 4, by forcing 31 turnovers and scoring 56 bench points in the exhibition.
Following Brands’ news conference, assistant coaches and student-athletes will be available in the Dan Gable Wrestling Complex until 3:25 p.m. (second floor).
In addition to live coverage of each of McCaffery’s weekly news conferences, subscribers to Hawkeye All-Access also have exclusive access to weekly visits with the media of UI women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder, and head football coach Kirk Ferentz, live and exclusive coverage of Ferentz’s, McCaffery’s and Bluder’s postgame news conference after home events, live and exclusive coverage of the weekly “Hawk Talk” radio shows of Iowa’s head football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball coaches, and the live play-by-play of every Iowa men’s basketball game featuring the Hawkeye Radio Network’s Gary Dolphin and Bobby Hansen and all football, women’s basketball and wrestling events.
