IOWA CITY, Iowa — The fifth-ranked University of Iowa wrestling team hosts No. 21 Purdue on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. (CT) on Mediacom Mat inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

The Hawkeyes have nine wrestlers ranked in the top 20 in at least one national poll. The Boilermakers have five wrestlers ranked in the top 20 in at least one national poll.

The Hawkeyes are 3-0 this season in duals against ranked opponents. Iowa defeated No. 17 Virginia 26-12 on Nov. 16, No. 23 Lehigh 26-9 on Dec. 6, and No. 4 Ohio State 22-9 on Jan. 4. Including No. 21 Purdue, eight of Iowa’s remaining nine opponents are ranked in the latest NWCA Division I Coaches Poll.

Individually, the Hawkeyes own a 15-7 mark against ranked opponents. Matt McDonough (125) leads all Hawkeyes with victories over five rated foes (5-0).

The dual will be televised live on Mediacom. Rob Brooks, Mike Duroe and Dan Gable will have the call live from Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Tickets to the dual are $12 for adults, $8 for youth and free for kids five-years old and younger.
