McCaffery Live Tuesday

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa head men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery will meet the media at 1 p.m. (CT) Tuesday to talk about the Hawkeyes’ upcoming game against nationally ranked Michigan State on Thursday, Jan. 10.

The weekly briefing with local, regional and national media will be held in the Media Room inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, and be available live from start to finish on Hawkeye All-Access, the multimedia portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official worldwide website of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The Spartans are 12-3 overall, 1-1 in the Big Ten Conference. They have won eight of their last nine games, including an 84-61 win against Purdue on Jan. 5. Michigan State is led in scoring by junior guard Keith Appling (14.3 points per game) and freshman guard Gary Harris (13.1).

The Spartans have won the last four meetings, but Iowa prevailed, 72-52, the last time these teams met in Carver-Hawkeye Arena (Feb. 2, 2011).

Tickets are available for $22 (adults) and $10 (UI students and youth). It is also Dollar Dog Night at the arena.
