ORLANDO, Fla. — The University of Iowa women’s tennis team had an impressive performance at day two of the UCF Invitational, posting a 10-2 record. The Hawkeyes competed against the University of Central Florida in doubles matches and contested Furman University in singles play.

“We had better starts today in doubles across the board,” said head coach Katie Dougherty. “In singles, we competed well and built on what we did yesterday. Tomorrow will be a great test for us in both singles and doubles.”

In doubles, Morven McCulloch and Ruth Seaborne teamed up to beat UFC’s Lorbergs and Haraldson (8-7). Seaborne topped No. 68 Lauren Kline (6-4, 6-2) in singles action, maintaining a perfect record. McCulloch and freshman Caitlin Hindmarsh also remain undefeated.
