THIS WEEK
The University of Iowa women’s tennis team hosts Creighton tomorrow at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex. Competition begins at 5 p.m. Live match updates will be available on the Iowa women’s tennis schedule page at hawkeyesports.com and via twitter @iowa_tennis. The Hawkeyes will travel to DePaul on Sunday to take on the No. 71 Blue Demons. Action will begin at 1 p.m. at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness.
SEABORNE STEPS UP
Junior Ruth Seaborne currently leads the Hawkeyes at the No. 1 singles position with an impressive 2-0 record, including straight-set victories over Iowa State’s Kesenia Pronina (6-0, 6-1) and No. 58 Britney Sanders of Notre Dame (6-2, 6-3). Seaborne has also teamed with sophomore Morven McCulloch at the No. 1 doubles position. The duo has posted a spotless record, helping secure the doubles point against Iowa State and Notre Dame.
THE SERIES
Friday’s match marks the first ever meeting between Iowa and Creighton. The Hawkeyes will take an 11-2 series lead with them to Chicago when they face DePaul. Iowa defeated the Blue Demons 5-2 when the teams met a year ago. Iowa lost the doubles point but won 5-of-6 singles matches to upset the No. 38 Blue Demons.
DOUBLES STREAK REACHES 22
The Hawkeyes swept the doubles point against Iowa State on Jan. 26. Iowa has won its last 22 matches when sweeping the doubles point.
GAMEDAY PROMOTIONS
Friday’s dual against Creighton is themed “Kid’s Day”, including pizza for kids and a halftime promotion with Iowa coaches Katie Dougherty and Courtney Nagle. The matches’ feature player is junior Ruth Seaborne.

The Hawkeyes host a doubleheader Feb. 16. Iowa will take on Drake at 11 a.m. before facing Western Illinois at 3:30 p.m. Both matches will take place at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex.
