Schedule Change for UI Baseball

Feb. 25, 2013

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Last week’s snow storm across the Midwest and the anticipated arrival of a second round this week has forced the University of Iowa baseball team to change up its weekend schedule.

The Hawkeyes were initially slated to play four games in Lawrence, Kan., at the Millard Management Jayhawk Classic this weekend, but instead, they will travel to Little Rock, Ark., for four games at Gary Hogan Field on the campus of the University of Arkansas-Little Rock.

Iowa will open play Friday at 3 p.m. (CT) against the host Trojans, who are currently 4-2 this season. On Saturday, the Hawkeyes will play a doubleheader, facing Western Illinois (2-4) and UALR at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.

The Hawkeyes will then close out the weekend with a 10 a.m. game Sunday against Wichita State (1-3).

Iowa is currently 3-3 overall record after winning 2-of-3 games at the Kleberg Bank College Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas.
