UPCOMING ACTION
The No.58 University of Iowa women’s tennis team heads west beginning March 18 to face Dartmouth, Long Beach State, and Cal State Northridge. The Hawkeyes take on Dartmouth on Monday in Malibu, Calif., at 2 p.m. (CT). They then match-up against No. 37 Long Beach State on Wednesday at 4 p.m. (CT), followed by a match against Cal State Northridge in Los Angeles on Thursday at 4 p.m. (CT).
HAWKEYES ENTER THE RANKINGS
The Hawkeyes earned the No. 58 spot in the ITA national team rankings released March 12. Ruth Seaborne, Iowa’s No. 1 singles player, is ranked No. 75. Seaborne is 7-3 with four victories over ranked opponents. Seaborne and Morven McCulloch, Iowa’s No. 1 doubles team, is ranked No. 45 with a record of 8-3.
B1G REPRESENTATION IN ITA POLL
Eight Big Ten teams, including No. 58 Iowa, appear in the most recent ITA rankings. Nebraska leads the way at No. 6, followed by Michigan (No. 9), and Northwestern (No. 10). Purdue earned the No. 20 spot, while Penn State sits at No. 35, and Ohio State sits at No. 40. Illinois (No. 49) and Indiana (No. 60) round out the list. Iowa recorded their first win over a ranked opponent on March 10 when they defeated then-No. 33 Illinois, 5-2.

The Hawkeyes resume Big Ten play at Penn State on March 29 at 5 p.m. (CT).The Hawkeyes then travel to Ohio State to take on the Buckeyes on March 31 at 10 a.m.
