IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa wrestling program is inviting high school and club coaches to its annual Coaches Clinic on Friday, Nov. 1, at the Dan Gable Wrestling Complex inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
The 2013 clinic features presentations from UI Athletic Trainer Jesse Donnenwerth, two-time World Team member Brent Metcalf, and a key-note address by former head coach and Olympic gold medalist Dan Gable.
The clinic opens with a team workout and coaches’ registration at 4:30 p.m., and concludes with a dinner at the Bluebird Diner at 9 p.m. The first 100 coaches to pre-register will gain admission to the Iowa-Wisconsin football game on Saturday, Nov. 2. The Iowa wrestling team will also host an open practice prior to the football game.
