IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa wrestling program opens the 2013-14 season Saturday at the Luther Open in Decorah, Iowa. Luther College hosts the event inside the Regents Center beginning at 9 a.m. (CT). Nearly the entire Hawkeye roster will participate in the 21-team field.
The tournament features a number of Division II and III Iowa schools, including Division III No. 1 Wartburg College, No. 4 Luther College, No. 16 Loras College, No. 20 Cornell College, and No. 25 University of Dubuque. Upper Iowa, ranked No. 7 in Division II, will also compete.
Indviduals will compete in “Elite” and “Freshman-Only” divisions. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Live results will be available on the Iowa wrestling schedule page at hawkeyesports.com.
