Hawkeyes Square Up With UMKC In First Ever Meeting

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa women’s tennis team returns to the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Center on Tuesday for a matchup with the University of Missouri Kansas City beginning at 3:30 p.m. (CT). This is the first ever meeting between the two schools.

The Hawkeyes own a 4-3 record and are coming off a 6-1 victory over Marquette. Juniors Morven McCulloch and Shelby Talcott each hold a 5-1 record in singles, leading the way for Iowa.

UMKC travels to Iowa City with an overall record of 4-7. This is the first season the `Roos are competing as members of the Western Athletic Conference.

Tomorrow’s match is being billed as a black-out. The University of Iowa will give out free women’s tennis t-shirts to the first 50 fans. Admission is free.
