    IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa football program has 25 former Hawkeyes on NFL rosters. The NFL opened its regular season over the weekend. A number of former Hawkeyes saw action and had success for their respective teams.

    Jonathan Babineaux – DL – Atlanta Falcons: Babineaux, in his 10th season in the league, started and recorded two total tackles in the Falcons win over New Orleans on Sunday. Babineaux has started all 93 contests that he has played in since the start of the 2008 season.

    Bryan Bulaga – OL – Green Bay Packers: Bulaga started the Packers’ season-opener at Seattle last Thursday, but left the game due to injury. He is in his fifth season with Green Bay, and has made 34 career starts. Bulaga won a Super Bowl ring during his rookie season with the Packers in 2010.

    Scott Chandler – TE – Buffalo Bills: Chandler saw action in the Bills’ season-opening victory at Chicago on Sunday. Chandler has started 29 of the 46 games he has appeared in for the Bills since the start of the 2010 season. He has 135 career receptions for 1,623 yards and 14 touchdowns.

    Adrian Clayborn – DL – Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Clayborn started and notched one tackle during week one. He has started all 36 games he has appeared in for the Bucs since the start of the 2011 season.

    Colin Cole – DL – Carolina Panthers: Cole started and tallied one tackle during week one. In his career, Cole has recorded 234 tackles, and five and a half sacks.

    Mike Daniels – DL – Green Bay Packers: Daniels started and registered six tackles during Green Bay’s opening week game at Seattle. Daniels registered 6.5 sacks while playing all 16 regular season contests last year.

    A.J. Edds – LB – New York Jets: Edds saw action during the Jets’ opening-week win over the Raiders.

    James Ferentz – OL -Texans: Ferentz is a member of the Texans’ practice squad.

    C.J. Fiedorowicz – TE – Houston Texans: Fiedorowicz, selected by the Texans with the first pick in the third round (65th overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft, saw action in the Texans’ opening-week victory.

    Bradley Fletcher – DB – Philadelphia Eagles: Fletcher, in his sixth year in the league and second with the Eagles, started and registered a tackle and a pass break-up in the opening-week victory.

    Charles Godfrey – DB – Carolina Panthers: Godfrey tallied two tackles during week one. Godfrey, in his seventh season with Carolina, has made 74 career starts.

    Shonn Greene – RB – Tennessee Titans: Greene carried 15 times for 71 yards on Sunday in the Titans win over the Chiefs. The former All-American and 2008 Doak Walker Award Winner is in his second season with the Titans after spending the previous four seasons with the New York Jets.

    Chad Greenway – LB – Minnesota Vikings: Greenway notched two tackles in Minnesota’s victory over the Rams on Sunday. The former Iowa All-American has started 112 of the last 113 games for the Vikings.

    Anthony Hitchens – LB – Dallas Cowboys: Hitchens, selected by the Cowboys during the fourth round (119th overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft, saw action in the Cowboys’ opening-week game.

    Micah Hyde – CB – Green Bay Packers: Hyde, winner of the 2012 Tatum-Woodson Defensive Back of the Year award, started for the Packers and tallied five tackles during week one.

    Christian Kirksey – LB – Cleveland Browns: Kirksey, selected by the Browns during the third round (71st overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft, tallied a sack in his NFL debut.

    Karl Klug – DL – Tennessee Titans: Klug tallied a sack for the Titans during week one. He has played in all 49 games for the Titans since the start of his rookie season. As a rookie in 2011, Klug compiled a team-high seven sacks. The total tied for sixth place in sacks among all NFL rookies, tied for fourth among all NFL defensive tackles, and led all NFL rookie defensive tackles.

    Marvin McNutt – WR – Washington Redskins: McNutt was signed by the Redskins on Tuesday.

    James Morris – LB – New England Patriots: Morris is on the Patriots’ reserved/injured list.

    Brandon Myers – TE – Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Myers registered six receptions for 41 yards for the Buccaneers in their season-opener. Myers, in his sixth year in the league, has 164 career receptions for 1,619 yards and eight touchdowns.

    Shaun Prater – DB – Minnesota Vikings: In his third year in the league, Prater did not see action for the Vikings on Sunday.

    Riley Reiff – OL – Detroit Lions: Reiff started for the Lions during week one. He has started every game for the Lions since the start of last season. Reiff was Detroit’s first round pick in 2012, marking the third-straight season an Iowa player was selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.

    Jeff Tarpinian – LB – Houston Texans: Tarpinian saw action for the Texans during week one.

    Matt Tobin – OL – Philadelphia Eagles: Tobin, in his second year in the league, did not see action during week one.

    Marshal Yanda – OL – Baltimore Ravens: Yanda started for the Ravens during week one. He has made 89 career regular season starts in seven years for the Ravens, including the last 64 games he has played. Yanda was selected to compete in the 2014 Pro Bowl, marking his third consecutive selection.
