IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa women’s tennis team continues its fall tournament play this weekend at the Purdue Invitational in West Lafayette, Indiana. The tournament begins Friday and concludes Sunday at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
In addition to Iowa, tournament participants include Illinois, Kansas, Louisville, Memphis, Miami (OH), Michigan State, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, and Purdue. Of the 10 teams competing, Memphis, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, and Purdue all have ITA nationally ranked players in attendance.
“The Purdue Invite is another opportunity to compete against strong teams and players,” said UI head coach Katie Dougherty. “It’s a quick turnaround from Furman and we’ll be looking to build off what we learned there last weekend.”
Hawkeyes competing this weekend include Aimee Tarun, Zoe Douglas, Adorabol Huckleby, and Natalie Looney.
