As you prepare for the 2016 Olympic Trials in legendary Carver-Hawkeye Arena, we encourage you to visit iowacitytorio.com for important information regarding parking options and policies specific to the Olympic Trials, including the following:
Parking – Several lots near Carver-Hawkeye Arena will be permit-only lots. All other University parking lots will require a $10 cash payment upon entry. See iowacitytorio.com for details on parking availability.
*Due to a road construction project on Hawkins Drive that extends from Highway 6 to the entrance to public parking lots 65 and 75, please expect delays if you plan to approach Carver-Hawkeye Arena from the west. This stretch of road normally offers two lanes of traffic in each direction, but will be down to a single lane in each direction through the middle of August.
Fans with pre-paid parking passes are encouraged to drive to Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Hawkins Drive from the south (off Melrose Avenue, near UIHC and Kinnick Stadium) or from the east on Newton Road to limit the number of vehicles traveling on Hawkins from the west to access public parking lots.
