IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa baseball team will hold its annual Black & Gold World Series on Wednesday through Friday at Duane Banks Field. Game times are set for 4 p.m. and the intrasquad games are open to the public.
The Hawkeyes are coming off a season where they went 30-26 and advanced to the championship game of the 2016 Big Ten Tournament. Iowa returns four starters and one starting pitcher for the 2017 season; the Hawkeyes have 20 newcomers.
It will be a best of three series. Friday’s game will be TBA if the black or gold team win the series in two games.
