Hawkeyes Earn No. 7 Seed in Big Ten Tournament

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa women’s tennis team earned the No. 7 seed in the Big Ten Tournament, the league office announced Sunday.
The Hawkeyes are back in the Big Ten Tournament for the first time since 2014.
 
38006Iowa will face No. 10 Indiana on Thursday at 2 p.m. (CT) in Champaign, Illinois. The winner of the match will go on to face No. 2 Michigan the following day. The Hawkeyes defeated Indiana, 6-1, during the regular season in Iowa City.
 
The last time the Hawkeyes were in the Big Ten Tournament they were eliminated in the second round. Iowa defeated Michigan State, 4-2, in the opening round and was eliminated by top-seeded Michigan in the second round, 4-1.
