Hawkeyes Fall to Huskers, 4-0

LINCOLN, NE— The University of Iowa women’s tennis team fell to No. 46 Nebraska, 4-0, inside the Dillon Tennis Center on Saturday in Lincoln, Nebraska. 
 
38006Senior Zoe Douglas and junior Adorabol Huckleby got the lone win for the Hawkeyes by defeating Reifeis and Haakenstead at the No. 2 doubles position, 6-4, to move to 4-4 while paired together this season.
 
No. 68 sophomore Elise van Heuvelen and senior Anastasia Reimchen fell at the No. 1 position to Del Cueto and Lashway, 6-2. 
 
Matysova and Shinde secured the doubles point for the Huskers after winning the tiebreaking match over seniors Montana Crawford and Adrienne Jensen, 7-6, on court three. 
 
Nebraska clinched the match with singles wins on courts No. 3 and No. 4.

The Hawkeyes close regular season play next weekend against Minnesota on Friday at 3 p.m. (CT) and Wisconsin on Sunday at 12 p.m. Both matches are at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex. Admission is free.
