FORTALEZA, Brazil — University of Iowa freshman Tony Cassioppi and junior Jeremiah Moody combined to win three gold medals at the 2018 Junior Pan American Championships in Fortaleza, Brazil, last weekend.
 
Cassioppi swept the freestyle and Greco-Roman titles for the second straight year at 125 kg. He recorded three technical falls and a pin to win the Greco title Saturday, and outscored his opponents 30-5 to win the freestyle championship Sunday.
 
Moody went 3-0 on Sunday en route to the men’s freestyle title at 74 kg. He won by 10-0 tech fall in the quarters, secured a fall in 1:15 in the semifinals, and edged Canada’s Ty Bridgwater 12-10 in the finals.
