Sunday’s match is the 28th meeting between the Hawkeyes and the No. 14 Buckeyes. Iowa trails the all-time series, 23-24. The previous match between the two programs was last season, where the Hawkeyes fell to the Buckeyes, 6-1.

Sunday’s match is Iowa’s seventh straight away from home. The Hawkeyes are 1-5 on their current road trip. Iowa returns home to host five consecutive Big Ten matches over a three-week spanbeginning March 29. The Hawkeyes are 4-1 at home this season.
