IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa wrestling program will host its annual Youth Wrestling Clinic at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Saturday, January 18th from 6-7 p.m. (CT) prior to the Hawkeyes’ home dual against Nebraska. Youth ages 7-12 are invited to participate and registration is free, but everyone must register in advance and space is limited.

Doors open for participants and families at 5:30 p.m. The Hawkeyes wrestle the Huskers on Mediacom Mat at 8 p.m. Each participant receives FREE admission to Iowa Wrestling Youth Clinic and a t-shirt. The participants, family, and friends can purchase tickets online at the $8 group rate. There is a limited number of openings available.
THE DETAILS
WHEN: Saturday, Jan. 18th prior to Iowa’s dual vs. Nebraska Huskers.
TIME: Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for participants and families (South Entrance ONLY). Clinic will run from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
WHO: Youth ages 7-12 only are eligible to participate.
COST:
- There is NO charge for participants, but participants MUST pre-register for the clinic and purchase a ticket to the dual.
- Clinic participation is only guaranteed to the first 150 youth who pre-register.
- Participants will receive ONE free admission ticket at the clinic.
- Additional tickets for friends and family members will be available for purchase online at the $8 group rate with a code they will receive in the confirmation email.
- It is recommended that all tickets be purchased at the same time to receive the group discount and seating together. You will be able to pick your tickets up at the ticket office on the night of the clinic. Details regarding how to sign up for tickets will be sent in a confirmation email.
REGISTRATION:
All participants must pre-register for the clinic by filling out the Registration Form.
- That will be released Friday, Nov. 15 at 12 p.m. (CT).
- Registrations will be accepted until clinic capacity is reached.
- Clinic participation is only guaranteed to the first 150 youth who pre-register.
CLINIC:
- Check-in will take place at a table at the South Entrance of Carver-Hawkeye Arena with the marketing staff.
- A signed medical release form will need to be completed with the registration.
- The child will then be given a complimentary Iowa Wrestling Youth Clinic T-shirt. Re-entry will NOT be allowed. Once you are in for the clinic, you are in for the meet.
