Eierman, Moody to Compete at U.S. Senior Nationals

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa senior Jaydin Eierman and former Hawkeye Jeremiah Moody compete this weekend at the United States Senior Nationals, hosted by Xtream Arena & Green State Family Fieldhouse in Coralville, Iowa.

Eierman will compete in the 65 kg men’s freestyle bracket. Moody competes at 74 kg in the men’s freestyle bracket. The men’s freestyle preliminary round begins Saturday at 10 a.m. Quarterfinal, semifinal, and consolation rounds resume Saturday at 4 p.m. Placement matches begin Sunday at 10 a.m., and the finals are Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

FloWrestling is streaming the event live, beginning with Greco-Roman and women’s freestyle Friday at 10 a.m. (CT). Tickets are available at XtreamArena.com.

In the event that United World Wrestling keeps the 2020 Senior World Championships on the calendar and USA Wrestling plans to send teams, this event will serve as our 2020 Senior World Team Trials. The event will highlight competition in the three Olympic disciplines: men’s freestyle, women’s freestyle and Greco-Roman.

The event will be conducted following the requirements of the state and local health authorities, as well as using the safety provisions of the USA Wrestling Return to Events Guidelines. The local organizing committee is in regular communication with its partners at Johnson County public health and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. USA Wrestling and the local organizers will monitor data and local trends closely leading up to the event.
