CHARLESTON, S.C. — University of Iowa sophomore Alexa Noel won her opening singles match in the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships on Wednesday at the LTP Tennis Club.
Noel defeated Gina Dittmann of Northern Arizona, 6-3, 6-2, to advance to the Round of 16 against UCF’s Valeriya Zelevka on Thursday.
Noel and Samantha Mannix were scheduled to compete in doubles on Wednesday against Penn’s Iuliia Bryzgalova/Marija Curnic, but the match was postponed due to inclement weather.
