IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa rowing team will travel to Princeton, N.J., for the Princeton Chase at Lake Carnegie on Sunday.
The Hawkeyes will race against five teams the finished in last year’s national Pocock CRCA Poll’s top 20 during Sunday’s events.
The events will commence at 9 a.m. (CT), beginning with three separate eights races. Iowa’s three eights will then be split into six fours to compete in another round of races at 12:20 p.m. (CT).
Iowa concludes its fall season with the Princeton Chase. The Hawkeyes will open the spring championship season with an exhibition against Michigan State in Tempe, Arizona, on March 18.
QUOTING HEAD COACH JEFF GARBUTT
“This weekend’s races will be a culmination of everything we have worked towards throughout the summer and fall seasons. Being from New Jersey, I am very excited for our team to travel east and experience some of the best competition in the country. We always want to be in the fastest races, and this weekend we have an opportunity for awesome competition to wrap up the fall season.”
