Matthews Competes at ITA Midwest Regionals

LAWRENCE, Kan. — University of Iowa freshman Jessica Matthews went 1-1 in the qualifying singles draw at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships on Thursday at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.

Draws for both singles and doubles will be released later tonight.

“Jess is disappointed to not advance this afternoon, but she is determined to learn from her matches today and use them to improve. We are looking forward to competitive main draw singles and doubles tomorrow.”
