IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa field hockey team released the details of its 2024 schedule on Thursday. The Hawkeyes’ 19-game slate will include 12 games at Grant Field.
SCHEDULE NOTABLES
– To open the season the Hawkeyes will travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan, to compete in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on August 30 and September 1. Iowa will face Wake Forest and North Carolina on consecutive days.
– The Hawkeyes will play six home games in a row from October 4 – October 20. Iowa’s home opener will be on Sept. 8 against Central Michigan.
– Iowa’s Big Ten opener will take place on Sept. 20 at Northwestern. The Hawkeyes also travel to Rutgers, Michigan State and Ohio State in league play.
– The Hawkeyes will host Big Ten games against Penn State, Maryland, Indiana, and Michigan at Grant Field.
– The 2024 Big Ten Tournament will be held in Bloomington, Indiana from Nov. 7-10.
Iowa finished the 2023 season with a 13-6 overall record and an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance.
