Tickets for the I-380 Corridor Classic baseball game featuring Northern Iowa vs. Iowa go on sale today. The neutral site game will be played at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids on April 20 at 6:30 p.m. Rain date is April 21.
Fans can purchase tickets at the Iowa Athletic Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye Arena or over the phone (1-800-IA-HAWKS). Tickets also are available at the Cedar Rapids Kernels box office at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The prices are as follows:
Pavilion: $20 each (includes game ticket, plus all-you-can-eat/drink; limited supply of only 300).
Red Box Seats: $8 each (total of 500 tickets available)
Bleacher/Lawn Seats: $5 each (total of 400 tickets available)
The event is partnering with the American Diabetes Association (ADA). People can vote for their favorite University of Iowa coaches to kiss a pig for $1 per vote. A $5 contribution gets your candidate five votes and enters the voter into a seventh-inning drawing to win a Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle.
The Hawkeyes are 5-9 on the season after going 4-4 on their eight-game spring trip in Florida. Iowa will face Western Illinois (9-16) Tuesday at 6 p.m. in its home opener at Duane Banks Field.
