IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa Softball team’s doubleheader with Illinois State scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Pearl Field has been postponed due to inclement weather. A make-up date will be announced at a later date.
Iowa (23-5) will now have its home opener this weekend when the Hawkeyes host the four-team Hawkeye Classic. Iowa will play Ball State (2 p.m.) and South Dakota State (4 p.m.) Saturday and Ball State (2 p.m.) and North Dakota State (4 p.m.) on Sunday.
