CONCORD, NC – The Iowa men’s golf team competed in day one of the 49er Collegiate Classic at the Cabarrus Country Club near Charlotte, North Carolina, Monday. After one round, the Hawkeyes are in fourth place with a team score of 296.
Senior Jon Feldick (-1, 5th) put in a terrific round for Iowa. He ended the day with a score of 71, only one stroke behind the leaders. In second place among the Hawkeyes, junior Dan Holterhaus (+1, 9th) carded a 73 for the day. Juniors Scot Glasford (+4, 32nd) and Adam Miller (+4, 32nd) posted scores 76, while senior Bennet Hammerberg (+7, 51st) and sophomore Zack Anderson (+7, 51st) both shot a 79.
The Hawkeyes will finish play at the 49er Collegiate Classic Tuesday.
