CONCORD, NC – The Iowa men’s golf team finished play at the 49er Collegiate Classic at the Cabarrus Country Club near Charlotte, North Carolina, Tuesday. After 54 holes of competition, the Hawkeyes finished ninth with a team score of 921.
Junior Scot Glasford (+12, 22nd) led the Iowa squad with a final score of 228. After shooting an impressive first round Monday, senior Jon Feldick (+13, 25th) fell from fifth to finish 25th. Juniors Dan Holterhaus (+15, 35th) and Adam Miller (+18, 41st) and senior Bennett Hammerberg (+25, 61st) and sophomore Zack Anderson (+29, 73rd) rounded out the Hawkeye delegation.
This tournament marks the end of Iowa’s fall season. The Hawkeyes will return to action February 18, 2007, at the North Texas Classic in Guadalajara, Mexico.
