NORMAN, OK – The University of Iowa Men’s Gymnastics team was defeated Saturday by Oklahoma, 220.500 – 209.800.
On floor exercise, Geoff Reins tied for first place with a 9.5, while Jonathan Buese came in sixth with an 8.75. Bryan Bourland placed sixth on the horizontal bar with a 9.0 and Matt Beiler finished close behind in seventh, scoring a 8.95. On the parallel bars, Jacob Becker placed third with a 9.1. Curtis Kleffman took first place on the pommel horse with a score of 9.15. Beiler was Iowa’s highest finisher on the rings, taking third place with a score of 9.4. On rings, Reins came in came in third with a score of 9.05.
Iowa’s next competition will be at the Big Ten Championships in Minneapolis, MN, March 30-31.
