IOWA CITY — Fans of the University of Iowa’s softball and baseball teams are reminded that free live streaming audio of each game the Hawkeyes play in the 2007 Big Ten Softball Tournament and each baseball game in the four-game series between Iowa and Purdue will be available inside Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media area of hawkeyesports.com.
Coach Gayle Blevins’ Iowa softball team – the No. 4 seed in this year’s league tournament – squares off against No. 5 seed Purdue at 1:30 p.m. Iowa time in Columbus, Ohio, the site of the 2007 Big Ten Softball Tournament. A victory would advance the Hawekyes to a 6:30 p.m. game against top-seeded Ohio State. The Buckeyes defeated Penn State last night by a 10-2 score.
The winner of the 6:30 p.m. Friday game would advance to the tournament’s championship game scheduled for noon on Saturday. That game will be televised live by CSTV.
Coach Jack Dahm’s Iowa baseball team will look to extend its 12-game winning streak Friday at 3 p.m. when they square off against Purdue in the first of four games against the Boilermakers. Iowa also carries a 10-game winning streak against Big Ten Conference opponents into today’s game.
The teams play a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday. Start times for those games is noon each day.
