“It was two great wins for us this weekend beating two tough SEC teams,” said Iowa Head Coach Daryl Greenan. “Our girls stayed focused and fought hard throughout the lineup. Our freshman stepped up and won some keys matches closing it out against Alabama and we went 4-0 with two wins this weekend. Overall, it was a great team effort and I am really proud of the girls.”
The No. 45 Hawkeyes will look to continue their winning streak next weekend when they face Missouri and Northern Illinois on Saturday, Feb. 23. Competition is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. against Missouri and 4 p.m. against Northern Illinois at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex.
