IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa baseball team’s home opener Saturday against Grand View has been cancelled. The Hawkeyes’ Duane Banks Field is not ready for competition due to the late snow melt in the Iowa City area.
Iowa’s home opener will now be Tuesday night when it entertains Western Illinois at 6:30 p.m. at Duane Banks Field.
The Hawkeyes went 3-2 on their five-game trip to Florida during Spring Break. Iowa is 6-8 overall.
