IOWA CITY, IA – We’re in the rankings… #54! GO HAWKS!

Last weekend we headed up to Minnesota for our first Big Ten match of the season. We played Minnesota Friday and lost, 6-1. We were all pretty bummed about the loss and felt that we could have played better. We were all fired up for our match Saturday against #44 Princeton. This match was a huge opportunity for us and we capitalized on it. We changed up our doubles teams and swept three matches to win the doubles point. Sonja (Molnar) then won the decisive singles match in a thrilling third set to send us to a 4-3 win. We were proud to come home with a spot in the top 75 rankings! Also, I got to play DJ in the car most of the way there and back, so there wasn’t too much talk radio this trip!

We got back to Iowa City late Saturday night¸ had the day off Sunday, and got back to work Monday. This weekend we are hosting Missouri Saturday (11 a.m.) and #24 DePaul on Sunday (10 a.m.). We are fired up to play at the HTRC this weekend before we head to California for spring break a week from Monday! We love when you guys come out and watch us, so it would be great to see you all this weekend!

Let’s make some noise and beat the Tigers and Blue Demons!! GO HAWKS!
