Live Blogging from #6 Iowa vs. #14 Iowa State

Dec. 3, 2010

PARDON OUR PROGRESS! As friends of the UI and fans of the Hawkeyes know, the UI Athletics Department is well into a multi-million dollar revitalization of Carver-Hawkeye Arena. This important and exciting project has reduced for this season the number of ticket windows that are operational on game nights. Fans attending the home events of the 2010-11 UI men’s basketball, women’s basketball and wrestling teams are invited to avoid game night delays by purchasing their event tickets online or in advance of game day. If your schedule doesn’t allow for an advance purchase, we recommend you consider arriving at the Arena a little earlier than originally planned. Go Hawks!

IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa wrestling fans can follow the Iowa vs. Iowa State action with a live blog from Carver-Hawkeye Arena. A member of the University of Iowa Sports Information staff will offer interactive content live from the event via the Offical Iowa Wrestling Blog.

This feature gives Hawkeye fans the opportunity to voice their opinion by submitting questions and comments, while receiving up-to-the-minute play-by-play, notes and stats about the Hawkeyes. The live blog will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. (CT) and run throughout Iowa’s dual with intrastate rival Iowa State.

The dual is scheduled to be a “Black Out”, where fans are encouraged to wear black attire to the event. It is also the fifth event of the 2010-11 Hy-Vee Cy-Hawk Series. Iowa State currently holds a 6-5 lead in the series.

Friday night’s dual with Iowa State will be televised live on Mediacom Connections, and delayed on Iowa Public Television Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. (CT). Tim Johnson, former Hawkeye Head Coach Dan Gable and former Cyclone Head Coach Jim Gibbons will call the action.
