IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa assistant softball coach Stacy May-Johnson and the USA Softball Team begin World Cup of Softball VI play tonight against the Czech Republic beginning at 7 p.m. The game will be televised live on ESPN.
The World Cup is being held at Oklahoma City’s ASA Hall of Fame Stadium, which will play host to the six-country event. In addition to the USA Women’s National Team, the field includes Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Great Britain and Japan.
The Red, White and Blue head to Oklahoma City on the heels of its runner-up finish at the Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championship in Surrey, B.C.
