IOWA CITY, Iowa — The annual Iowa Elite Chevy Youth Wrestling Clinic will be held Jan. 15 on Mediacom Mat inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena prior to the Iowa vs. Northwestern dual. Doors will open at 10 a.m. for the clinic, which runs from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Youth ages 7-13 are eligible to participate in the clinic.
The clinic is free of charge, but participants must pre-register at hawkeyesports.com. Enrollment is limited to the first 250 pre-registered participants. For questions regarding the clinic, please call the University of Iowa Sports Marketing office at 319-335-9431.
The Iowa vs. Northwestern dual begins at 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to “Be Bold, Wear Gold” to the event.
WHEN: Sunday, January 15 vs. Northwestern at 1 p.m. Be Bold, Wear Gold!
TIME: Doors will open at 10 a.m. for participants and families (South Entrance ONLY). Clinic will run from 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
WHO: Youth ages 7-13 only are eligible to participate.
COST: There is no charge, but participants MUST pre-register for the clinic at hawkeyesports.com. Clinic participation is only guaranteed to the first 250 youth who pre-register. Participants will receive one free admission ticket in the pre-registration process. Additional tickets for friends and family members will be available for purchase online at the $7 group rate as well. It is recommended that all tickets be purchased at this time to receive the group discount and seating together. Everyone must have a ticket upon arrival.
REGISTRATION:All participants must pre-register for the clinic online by filling out the registration information at hawkeyesports.com. Registrations will be accepted until January 4th, or until clinic capacity is reached. Clinic participation is only guaranteed to the first 250 youth who pre-register.
CLINIC: Check-in will take place at a table at the South Entrance of Carver-Hawkeye Arena with the marketing staff. A signed medical release form (available during the pre-registration process) must be turned in at the check-in table. The child will then be given a complimentary Gold Iowa Wrestling Youth Clinic T-shirt. Re-entry will not be allowed. Once you are in for the clinic, you are in for the meet.
