IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa head baseball coach Rick Heller will throw the first pitch tonight at the Cedar Rapids Kernels game against Beloit. Game time is set for 6:35 p.m. (CT).
Herky and the Iowa cheerleaders will be in attendance and Hawkeye football posters and schedule cards will be available for fans to pick up. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free black and gold Kernels shirt and there will be postgame fireworks.
Heller is entering his first season as Iowa’s head coach after spending the past four seasons in the same position at Indiana State.
