MEET THE HAWKS HIGHLIGHT VIDEO | PHOTO GALLERY
IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa softball program held hosted its 10th annual `Meet the Hawks’ night on Thursday evening at the Indoor Practice Facility on campus. The free event was open to the public and drew over 200 fans.
The event began with a short open practice, in which the 2014 Iowa roster showcased its skills in front of the fans. Youth were then invited to take part in interactive stations with the student-athletes and coaches. After head coach Marla Looper spoke briefly to the crowd, fans had the opportunity to meet the team and ask student-athletes questions. The Hawkeyes handed out autographed prizes to drawing winners, and the event ended with an autograph session.
