“The team worked hard today,” said UI head coach Tyler Stith. “The setup was challenging and I thought we managed it well most of the day. It shows with five guys in the top 25. We’re focused and excited for the final round.”

Through 36 holes, host LSU sits atop the 14-team field at two-over-par (578). Kansas State is in second (+12; 588) and Liberty is in third (+13; 589).

Carson Schaake led the way for the Hawkeyes, posting rounds of 69 and 73 for a total of 142 (-2). The sophomore currently sits in third place.

“Carson played especially well,” said Stith. “He put himself in good position for tomorrow.”

Junior Nate Yankovich followed, carding an even par 72 on the first 18 holes before notching a 76 (+4) on the second. He is tied for 13th through 36 holes.

Senior Voramate Aussarassakorn is tied for 22nd with a 36-hole total of 152 (+8). Aussarassakorn posted rounds of 74 (+2) and 78 (+6).
