BTN Announces 2015-16 Wrestling Coverage

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa wrestling program will make five live appearances on BTN this season, the conference office announced Tuesday.

BTN will provide live coverage of Iowa’s duals against Wisconsin (Jan. 15) and Minnesota (Jan. 29), the National Dual tournament (TBD), the finals of the 2015 Midlands (Dec. 30), and the finals of the 2016 Big Ten Championships (March 6).

The Hawkeyes’ dual against Oklahoma State on Nov. 14, tabbed as “Grapple on the Gridiron,” will air tape delayed on Nov. 15 following the conclusion of the Iowa men’s basketball game against Coppin State. Tipoff is at 4 p.m. The Oklahoma State dual will stream live on BTN Plus.

BTN Plus will provide Hawkeye wrestling coverage of 10 duals, the opening rounds of the 2015 Midlands, and the first three sessions of the Big Ten Championships.

BTN Plus includes live programming produced by Big Ten students. The events are available on BTN2Go with a BTN Plus subscription.

BTN will also debut a new wrestling show on Monday, Jan. 11. B1G Mat Attack will compile the conference’s most exciting dual matches from the previous weekend to be showcased on Monday nights.
