IOWA CITY, Iowa — The annual University of Iowa Youth Wrestling Clinic will be held Dec. 4 on Mediacom Mat inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena prior to the Iowa vs. South Dakota State dual. Doors will open at 4 p.m. for the clinic, which runs from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. Youth ages 5-13 are eligible to participate in the clinic.
The clinic is free of charge, but participants must pre-register by emailing first and last name, age, and shirt size to: gohawks@hawkeyesports.com.
Enrollment is limited to the first 200 pre-registered participants. For questions regarding the clinic, please call the University of Iowa Sports Marketing office at 319-335-9431 or email gohawks@hawkeyesports.com.
The Iowa vs. South Dakota State dual begins at 7 p.m.
WHEN: Friday, December 4 vs. South Dakota State at 7 p.m.
TIME: Doors will open at 4 p.m. for participants and families (South Entrance ONLY). Clinic will run from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
WHO: Youth ages 5-13 only are eligible to participate.
COST: There is no charge for participants, but participants MUST pre-register for the clinic by emailing gohawks@hawkeyesports.com. Clinic participation is only guaranteed to the first 200 youth who pre-register. Participants will receive one free admission ticket at the clinic. Additional tickets for friends and family members will be available for purchase online at the $8 group rate with a code they will receive in the confirmation email. It is recommended that all tickets be purchased at this time to receive the group discount and seating together. You will be able to pick your tickets up at the ticket office on the night of the clinic. Details regarding how to sign up for tickets will be sent in a confirmation email.
REGISTRATION: All participants must pre-register for the clinic by emailing gohawks@hawkeyesports.com. Registrations will be accepted until December 1st, or until clinic capacity is reached. Clinic participation is only guaranteed to the first 200 youth who pre-register. CLINIC: Check-in will take place at a table at the South Entrance of Carver-Hawkeye Arena with the marketing staff. A signed medical release form (will be attached with the confirmation email) must be turned in at the check-in table. The child will then be given a complimentary Iowa Wrestling Youth Clinic T-shirt. Re-entry will not be allowed. Once you are in for the clinic, you are in for the meet.
