THIS WEEK FOR THE HAWKEYES
The University of Iowa women’s tennis team is set for doubleheader action against the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Illinois State on Saturday at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex. Iowa takes on UMKC at 10 a.m. (CT) and Illinois State at 5 p.m. The Hawkeyes are 4-0 entering the weekend.

DOUBLEHEADER ACTION
The Hawkeyes are 1-0 against University of Missouri-Kansas City and 9-0 against Illinois State. The last time Iowa saw action against Illinois State was in the 2012 home opener where the Hawkeyes defeated the Red Birds, 7-0. Iowa won the only meeting against UMKC, 7-0, in 2014.
HAWKEYES AIM FOR BEST START IN 8 YEARS
Iowa is 4-0 for the second year in a row and the 13th time in program history. The Hawkeyes are looking for their first 5-0 start since 2008, when they opened the season 8-0.
PERFECTION IN SINGLES AND DOUBLES
Five Hawkeyes have a perfect record in both doubles and singles play. Annette Dohanics, Zoe Douglas and Kristen Thoms are all 3-0 in both doubles and singles. Montana Crawford is 1-0 and Adorabol Huckleby is 2-0.
DOUBLES DETERMINATION
The Hawkeyes are 10-1 in doubles play in 2016. Doubles combinations include Annette Dohanics and Kristen Thoms (2-0), Natalie Loony and Aimee Tarun (3-0), Zoe Douglas and Anastasia Reimchen (3-1), Adorabol Huckleby and Kristen Thoms (1-0), and Annette Dohanics and Aimee Tarun (1-0). All five doubles teams have never played together prior to the 2016 season.
REIMCHEN ON TOP
Sophomore Anastasia Reimchen is 2-1 at the No. 1 singles position. Since falling in the home opener to Ema Turudija of Missouri State, Reimchen has won her last two singles matches against Eastern Michigan and Marquette. Kristen Thoms is the only other Hawkeye to play at No. 1. She led 6-2 before the match was abandoned against Missouri State.
DOUGLAS ENTERS RANKINGS
University of Iowa sophomore Zoe Douglas is ranked No. 92 in the latest ITA singles poll. It is the first time in her career appearing in the rankings. Douglas is 3-0 this season, winning one match at the No. 2 position, and two matches at No. 4 singles.
