UPDATE: Iowa will compete against UIC at 9 a.m. (CT) on Sunday, followed by a game against UL Lafayette at 11 p.m. Both games will be played at the Broussard Sports Complex in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Lafayette, La. — Due to rain, the University of Iowa softball team’s games against UL Lafayette and Evansville on Saturday have been canceled.
With the possibility of inclement weather continuing through Sunday morning, the schedule for the final day of the Mardi Gras Classic will be evaluated at 6 a.m. (CT) Sunday.
The Hawkeyes split its first two games of the Mardi Gras Classic on Friday, defeating UIC, 4-0, in game one and dropping a 4-2 decision to EIU in game two.
