IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa soccer juniors Kaleigh Haus and Hannah Drkulec have been named 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-Americans, it was announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America.  Haus is a first-team selection, Drkulec landed on the second team.
 
Iowa is one of three schools nationally to have two Academic All-Americans, joining Penn State and Memphis. Haus and Drkulec are the first two Hawkeyes to earn Academic All-America distinction.

Haus, a forward from Des Moines, Iowa, is majoring in biomedical engineering, where she has a 4.08 grade point average.  Haus started all 18 games in 2018, finishing second on the team with four goals, while tallying one assist. 
 
Drkulec, a defender from Windsor, Ontario, Canada, is majoring in biomedical engineering, where she carries a 4.11 grade point average.  On the field, Drkulec started all 18 games, helping the Hawkeyes post six shutouts.
 
Iowa finished the 2018 season with eight wins and was unbeaten at the Iowa Soccer Complex, posting a 7-0-3 record.
