IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa soccer team will travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for a 4:30 p.m. (CT) matchup against Marquette on Saturday.
“Coming back from spring break is always an interesting week,” said Iowa head coach Dave DiIanni. “We had a great start to the spring season and 10 days off can really halt some momentum, but it allowed us the opportunity to get some much-needed rest.”
“We are excited about playing Marquette who is a really good team. We get to go on the road again and spend some more time together as a family. For us, we really want to see some elements of our game that were there before spring break, defensively, and creating more chances.”
Iowa is 4-0 in spring play, allowing just one goal and outscoring opponents, 14-1.
The Hawkeyes and Golden Eagles have only squared off once, meeting in 2001 in Milwaukee. Marquette won, 2-1.
