Iowa To Face Wisconsin in Big Ten Softball Tournament

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The 12th-seeded University of Iowa softball team faces No. 5 Wisconsin in the opening game of the Big Ten Tournament Thursday at 10 a.m. (CT) in Bloomington, Ind.

The Hawkeyes earned their third consecutive tournament berth after defeating Ohio State, 1-0, on May 3. Iowa owned the tiebreaker over Maryland for the final spot.

The Hawkeyes face the Badgers for the fourth time this season. Wisconsin took the three previous meetings in Madison April 5-7. Freshman Hallie Ketcham led Iowa at the plate, hitting .500 with one run scored in the series.
