Doud-Johnson Added As Volunteer Assistant

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa softball team has announced the addition of Erin Doud-Johnson as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2019-20 season.

Doud-Johnson was previously the head coach at Cedar Rapids Prairie from 2017-19, compiling a 57-25 record, including the school’s most successful season in its history with a record of 29-12 in 2019.

Doud-Johnson played at Iowa from 1998-2001, appearing in 194 games with 117 starts. She tallied 92 career hits with 30 stolen bases.

The Cedar Rapids, Iowa, native helped Iowa win 185 games in her career and the program’s first Big Ten regular season title in 2001.

The Iowa softball team travels to Fayette, Iowa, to face Upper Iowa in its third match of the fall season on Saturday at 12 p.m. (CT).
