IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa baseball team moved to 2-0 during the fall with a 10-1, 14-inning victory over North Iowa Area Community College on Friday night at Duane Banks Field. 
 
The Hawkeyes scored their 10 runs on 11 hits with six going for extra bases.  Iowa also drew 11 walks in the game. Junior Brett McCleary paced the offense, going 3-for-4 with a double and home run, while freshman Andrew Nord went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs.
 
Ten different pitchers fanned 19 Trojans and allowed just four hits in the game.  Junior Trenton Wallace, sophomore Duncan Davitt, senior Grant Judkins, senior Trace Hoffman, and junior Hunter Lee all struck out three batters apiece.  Senior Adam Ketelsen was the only Hawkeye pitcher to record a 1-2-3 inning.
 
Iowa is back in action Oct. 11, hosting Indian Hills Community College at 4 p.m. (CT) at Duane Banks Field.  The Black & Gold World Series will take place from Oct. 16-18.
